South Korean leader says protestors should stop
Buffalo News.Net Friday 4th July, 2008
South Korean President Lee Myung-bak has warned his government will not tolerate further street protests against US meat imports.
He has called for a stop to the violent protests, saying they no longer have popular public support.
Lee's government has warned that daily street rallies that have turned increasingly violent are scaring foreign investors away.
South Korea has seen street protests on nearly a nightly basis since early May, over concerns about mad cow disease.
