Peru copper miners want slice of the action

Peru copper prices have soared since a
nationwide mining strike began on Monday.
Global futures prices have risen to record highs on worries the strike would shorten supplies from the world's number two supplier.
Strikers have said their walkout will continue until Congress passes a bill to give them a bigger slice of corporate profits.
President Alan Garcia has been facing growing calls to spread the wealth from a Peru’s six-year economic boom to workers and the poor.
