Wide receiver Chris Hogan is signing with the New Orleans Saints after working out for the team on Monday, NFL Network reported.
The Saints are looking to address their receiving corps with three-time Pro Bowl selection Michael Thomas nursing an ankle injury that is expected to sideline him several weeks into the season.
Tre'Quan Smith, Marquez Callaway and Deonte Harris are behind Thomas on New Orleans' wide receiver depth chart.
Hogan, 33, is a two-time Super Bowl champion and currently competes with the Premier Lacrosse League's Whipsnakes Lacrosse Club. NFL Network also reported the league is "supportive" of his workout and NFL potential.
Hogan recorded 14 catches for 118 yards in five games last season with the New York Jets. He has had 216 receptions for 2,795 yards and 18 touchdowns in 100 career games with the Buffalo Bills (2012-15), New England Patriots (2016-18), Carolina Panthers (2019) and Jets (2020).
Playing in nine postseason games, Hogan added 34 catches for 542 yards and four touchdowns.
