NEW YORK, May 15 (Xinhua) -- An 18-year-old U.S. white man was arraigned on Saturday night hours after shocking the nation by live-streaming his mass shooting at a supermarket in the city of Buffalo.
The heavily armed shooter surrendered to local police after killing 10 people and injuring three at a supermarket on Saturday afternoon in Buffalo, located near the Canadian border in northwestern New York State.
The gunman, identified as Payton Gendron, was taken into custody and transported to Buffalo Police Headquarters.
Local law enforcement officials were quick to prosecute the racially motivated perpetrator.
